All participants must submit:
Abstract - Junior Inventor category.
Extended Abstract - Young Inventor & Professional Inventor category. -
Please submit an extended abstract of 2 - 3 pages that highlights the introduction, objective, description, and novelty of the product.

Please write your extended abstract in MS Word (*.docx format) in English or Bahasa Melayu using the template.

Note: For publication with E-ISBN, you are required to submit EXTENDED ABSTRACT.
JUDGING CRITERIA
The judging criteria is as follows:
1. Originality (The novelty and uniqueness of the product).
2. Usefulness (Relevance in solving the problems concerned and potential benefits to end users at different levels).
3. Commercial Potential.
4. Award/Publication/IP/Academic Recognition.
5. Framework or methodology on how the product works.
6. Video Presentation (The presentation should be brief, clear and concise).

Video Presentation Guidelines
1. Presentation can be either in English or Malay.

2. The video should not be more than 5 minutes in length.

3. These details must be included in the video presentation:

Project title & ID number

Names of team leader and members
-
Institutional name & logo
-
Objective(s), problem statements, description about your product/design/idea
4. Participants are encouraged to upload relevant documents related to the product/design/ idea such as patent application letter, papers, journals in ONE PDF file.
5. Video Settings:
Video must be uploaded in the YouTube channel. Please set the privacy setting to 'UNLISTED' if you want to restrict the audience to those who have the link only.

Must be uploaded as one single file with high definition (HD)

Duration: Maximum of 5 minutes
6. Participants are required to submit the link of the video presentation and other details using the button below.
7. Deadline for video submission: 20 SEPTEMBER 2024
TEMPLATE
RULES AND REGULATIONS

Entry is open to ALL professionals (Academic/Non-academic), students from institutions of higher learning (Diploma/Bachelor), primary and secondary school.

The number of categories for each entry is as the following:
Professional Inventor: Six (6) members including Project Leader.
Young Inventor: Six (6) members : 5 students (Project Leader) + 1 Project Supervisor.
Junior Inventor: Six (6) members : 5 students (Project Leader) + 1 teacher. -
e - CERTIFICATE of participation will be issued.

Only ONE medal for winners will be given. Additional medals will be charged upon request. Payment will be informed later.

Any projects that have participated in any other competitions are not eligible to join this competition unless improvements/modifications have been made.

The organizer has the right to reject any application it deems unsuitable for the competition.

The organizer reserves the right to reject any application in the event of falsification of information.

All decisions of the competition are final, and any disputes or appeals will not be entertained.

Registration is due on 15 SEPTEMBER 2024.
